What this list shows
Our setup score condenses a coin's indicators into one number from −100 to +100. It adds points for an oversold RSI, a bullish MACD and a recent MACD cross up, a price above its 50-day average, a golden cross, a bullish chart pattern and a price sitting just above support, and subtracts them for the opposite readings. The higher it is, the more of those readings point the same way.
A high score does not say a coin will rise. It says the indicators agree, which is what a trader looks for before taking a position. One thing to know about how it is built: an oversold RSI counts in a coin's favour, so a coin that has fallen hard but has turned up can score well.
How the list is built
Every coin with a technical-signal reading gets the score recalculated from its latest daily candles. The list shows the 20 highest, with the RSI and the trend beside the score. The same scoring is broken down on each coin's page, so the number can be checked.
How to read it
1Open the coin and read the breakdown. A score built from momentum and trend together is a different setup from one carried by a single strong reading.
2Check the coin's back-tested record on its page. It shows how our signals have done on that particular coin over the past years.
3Treat a high score as the start of the work, not the end. It tells you where the indicators agree, not what the price will do.
What it doesn't tell you
The score is built from lagging indicators computed on past prices. It does not know about news, liquidity or what other traders are doing, and a strong setup can fail the next day. Our track record page shows how the signals have performed in aggregate, including where they do not work.
Questions
What goes into the setup score?
The RSI zone (oversold adds points, overbought subtracts them), the MACD state and any recent cross, the trend against the 50-day moving average, any recent golden or death cross, any detected chart pattern, and whether the price sits within 2% above support or within 2% below resistance, added up into one figure from −100 to +100.
Is a high score a buy signal?
No. It means a coin's indicators agree with one another. Our track record page shows how our individual signals have performed historically, including where they do not work.
How often does the ranking change?
Scores are recalculated daily from the latest daily candles, so the list can shift from one day to the next but rarely changes completely.
