Top Crypto Gainers Today

The coins in the top 100 that have risen the most over the last 24 hours, with their RSI and weekly move for context.

Right now Rain (RAIN) leads at +29.8% over 24 hours.

What has happened after this before

We found 1,466 times a coin closed up 10% or more in a single day, across 32 coins between January 2019 and October 2026. Over the next 7 days, the typical result (the median) was −1.1% and the price was higher 46% of the time. An ordinary 7 days for the same coins had a median of −0.2% and was higher 49% of the time.

After the event

1,466 events, next 7 days

Typical result (median)
-1.1%
Higher afterwards
46%

Any ordinary stretch

55,110 days, same coins

Typical result (median)
-0.2%
Higher afterwards
49%

That is close to an ordinary 7-day stretch, so in this data the event itself told you little about what came next.

Caveats

  • The largest share of the events, 27%, fell in 2021. A result that holds in one market phase can reverse in the next.
  • Only coins that are in the top 100 today and have at least a year of history are included. Coins that collapsed and dropped out are missing, which tends to flatter the results.
  • The average is +2.9% against a median of −1.1%: a few very large moves pull the average away from the typical case, which is why the median leads.
  • Returns are close to close, with no fees or slippage. Each coin's events do not overlap, so one crash is not counted many times.

What this list shows

A gainers list ranks coins by how much their price has risen over the last 24 hours. It answers one question, which coins moved most today, and nothing more: the ranking says nothing about why a coin moved, whether the move will hold, or whether it is still a sensible entry.

Most of the coins at the top on any given day are there because a smaller coin had a news item, a listing or a burst of speculative buying. Sorting only the top 100 keeps the list to coins with real liquidity, but even among them a +15% day is an unusual event and a +30% day is rare.

How the list is built

We take every coin in the top 100 by market cap, drop stablecoins, and sort by the percentage change in price over the last 24 hours as reported by CoinGecko. The 7-day change and the RSI (14-day, from our own daily candles) sit beside it so a coin that is up 12% today after being down 30% this week reads differently from one that has been climbing all week.

How to read it

  • 1Check the 7-day column first. A coin up 12% today and 14% this week is a trend; a coin up 12% today and down 20% this week is a bounce.
  • 2Look at the RSI. Above 70 means the move has already stretched the price a long way from its recent average, which says nothing about the next day but does mean the easy part of the move is behind it.
  • 3Treat the list as a place to look for what happened, then find the reason on the coin's own page before drawing any conclusion.

What it doesn't tell you

A ranking by past 24 hours is a ranking of what has already happened. It does not say which coins will keep rising, and chasing the top of a daily gainers list is one of the most reliable ways to buy a short-term high. Prices are refreshed through the day, not tick by tick.

Questions

What counts as a top gainer?
Among the 100 largest coins by market cap, stablecoins excluded, the ones with the largest percentage price increase over the last 24 hours. Coins outside the top 100 are not ranked, so a tiny token up 400% will not appear here.
Does a big daily gain mean the price will keep rising?
Not reliably. The historical section on this page measures what the 7 days after a 10%-plus daily gain looked like for the largest coins, compared with an ordinary 7-day stretch. Read it before assuming momentum carries on.
How often is the list updated?
Market data is refreshed through the day and this page re-renders about every half hour. The timestamp above the table shows when the prices behind it were last updated.
